The first show I am helping assistant direct is a one act, written and directed by the wonderful Dan Miller. The show is about two girls. One who was created to be a mirror image of the other. Or what, she thought others wanted of her. It's complicated to put into words, but it is hands down worth seeing!
The one act is part of our one act festival here at Concordia. The festival is held every year and for two weekends, students preform one acts that have been directed and/or written by students! This weekend, some of the one acts include: a story of a group of preschool children who decide to kill their teacher, and two may fairies who have sex. Yes, quite literally. On stage. I'm not too sure that Concordia is ready for this... but its going to happen!
The other show that I am working on this at the local middle school. The show is called Cinderstein. It's basically a children's show that is a cross over between Cinderella and Frankstein. The cast is made up of 60 middle school students, who literally make me want to pull my hair out every Tuesday and Thursday night. Except this week. They just want to kill me, EVERY NIGHT! But I love them anyways!
