Just a few nights ago, I was sitting in the car with the wonderful Ryan Durr, and we had an entire conversation about something, and I was getting really into it. I don't remember what we were talking about but I distinctly remember saying "I should blog about that! I have some really good ideas!" I guess it wouldn't be such a great idea if I had remember what it was.
All today, as I've been keeping my eyes open for interesting conversations or tiny things that tick me off, I couldn't help but keep going back to thinking about trying to remember my amazing topic. Let's just face it, the idea is gone and has moved on. Sadly, I haven't.
Seriously, where do theses ideas go? I mean, we've all had those moments where we came up with an amazing idea and then a few hours (or days) later, we just can't seem to remember what it is. I like to think that I am a smart person, and that I have the ability to learn and recall information. If you think about, "this idea" is still in my head. I can recall having an entire conversation about it. The question is: Where in my brian is this valued piece of information stored?
I guess losing information and forgetting things is part of being human. If we could recall and remember every memory and piece of information that we learn, we could all be geniuses. I mean, I don't want to know the answers to the universe! Really. I just want a good topic to blog about.
So if you're walking around campus and stubble upon my lost idea, I would really appreciate it, if you could return it to me. My sanity currently depends on it.
Rachel.
