Haiti.

A few days ago, I said that I was going to blog about my trip to Haiti last year. And so, today I shall do just that!

Last year, I took a trip with my church over Easter break to Haiti. Our church works with a sister church there, and helps run and maintain an orphanage there. Through out the week, I helped to build beds (or watch), run a drama workshop at the church for the children who lived there, but mostly it was my job to take pictures and document the entire trip, so that we could share our experiences with our friends and family at home.

For some reason, my church believes that I am good at that kind of stuff, and so every mission trip that I go on, I always get roped into being the "documentary". Which, I may point out, always works out in my favor, because I basically just stand around taking pictures and video. But, I also get to see the mission work at hand! Especially, because we usually break into groups... so I'm not stuck in one place all week.. I get to move around!

My trip to Haiti was pretty amazing. Not only did we have a great group/team, but the people there were just so welcoming and nice! It was pretty awesome, to see there love and passion for Jesus Christ and the church! They have so little, but at the same time, they have so much more than anyone else I know, because they have a faith that is stronger than any other! You would never believe that a country, that has been through so much... and is basically ran and dedicated to the devil... could have a congregation of people who are so faithful in their love for God!
