Jesus Loves You.

So a few days ago, while I was at my meeting with the dean of education, as part of the interview process to get into the college of education, I was asked a rather interest question. It was the last questions of the interview, and you think that I would have nailed it. But, of course, my catholic background came out and I failed completely.

The question: If you were to die tomorrow, would you go to heaven?

My Answer: Yeah, I think so.

"Are you sure"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure"

"But your not positive"

"I'm pretty positive"

"You should be very positive... the answer was just yes"

"ok"

"do you know why?"

"because Jesus died for me"

"took you long enough..."

Now, here I am thinking to myself.. OH CRAP! DUH! Whats wrong with me. But I was nervous, and wasn't really thinking clearly. Of course, I believe I would go to heaven! Jesus died for me and I believe that! We're saved by Grace.

Unless, your Catholic, then theres all this stuff about getting to heaven through your good deeds. Not that I have anything against Catholics, but it wasn't exactly the answer the dean of education at a lutheran university wanted to hear.

None the less, I was accepted into the program. (Thus far). But that doesn't make me feel any more like a complete idiot. One word: YES. That is all I need to say. But that would be to simple for me. Good job Rachel!
