I believe that every student has the ability to learn. All students are children of God, and have been created in his imagine. God has given us all gifts and talents, to help us fill-full his plan for us. Every student has the ability to learn, and should be given equality opportunities to use their gifts. As a teacher, it is my job to work with my students and find ways to help them learn and be successful. Just like God loves all His children equality, I should care and help my students learn equality. “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.” (Psalms 127: 3-4)
I believe that as a teacher, I need to be a role model for my students. As a Christian and called-worker, it is my responsibility to encourage my students to grow in faith and live according to God’s word. In today’s world, children are always being exposed to “role models” and adults in the media and news that do not show them a positive and/or healthy life style. I want my students to be able to think of me a positive role model and strong Christian. All students should feel important, cared about, and know that their thoughts and feelings are important.
I believe that school should be preparation for life. As a teacher, I want to help my students learn the skills that they will need throughout their life. I want to not only help my students to develop social skills and good citizenship, but also give them the gift of faith and understanding of God’s love. “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Rachel.
